It's been six months since our baby girl went to sleep and didn't wake up.

We're still broken, hopeless, angry, confused, sad, guilty, bargaining, incomplete, sorry, overwhelmed, denying, bitter, lost, and empty.

Time doesn't heal, it amplifies what's missing!

I would give anything for her to come out to the garden with me, not to help, because she probably wouldn't, but to keep me entertained. She could tell a store like no one else. I'd laugh to the brink of stress incontinence! She was that funny.

To others she was shy and quiet but she just needed to be with her people, and then she'd open up full throttle. She didn't say much but when she did, you could feel that this youngster was wise beyond her years!

The world would be a much happier place with her in it! Twenty two years wasn't nearly enough time for us to love her. I've lost many family members that I have loved dearly, but NOTHING compares to this!

We'll continue to navigate this awful world day by day, but from my heart to yours, hug your people, tell them you love them, make that phone call to chat, stop by for a visit, because when they're gone, you're the one left with sadness in your heart and a brain full of regrets.

The last pasture raised chicken from Paige Ayers and Ayers Acres turned into Ol' Fashioned Chicken and Dumplins' 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Of course the dumplings are homemade by yours truly! 😉
